Publication of Section 71 Notice
On December 8, 2007, the Minister of the Environment published a
Notice with respect to reporting information on air pollutants,
greenhouse gases (GHGs), and other substances for the 2006
calendar year, under Section 71 of the Canadian Environmental
Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999) in the Canada Gazette, Part I.
Reporting is mandatory.
Deadline
Affected companies are required to provide the information by
May 31, 2008.
Information Requirements
Various types of information are required by the notice including
administrative information, emissions, energy and fuel use, inputs,
production, cogeneration, as well as information on pollution
prevention measures.
